TEACHER ROLE REACTUALIZATION

October to November, may be a months momentum of Teacher's Day in Indonesia. In October, the exact date is October 5th is International Teachers Day. Meanwhile, in November, exactly on November 25 is the anniversary of PGRI and include the National Teacher Day.

Perhaps not all teachers, especially the public aware that on October 5 is International Teachers Day. This condition is very alarming, because like it or not, today is a historic moment, so commonly used as a flashback in raising awareness of the purpose and intent of the birth of an institution or organization. Moreover, a flashback to the fateful day was the emergence of consciousness in correcting errors and or improve the quality and results that have been achieved.

In October and November is the historic series for teachers in Indonesia as a decent used as momentum increased awareness for teachers, including the correction and evaluation of the existence of his role in the current global level. Meanwhile, the context of a very fundamental role for teachers today, there are at least three things that are necessary to be a basic departure in an effort to increase the role of education arena.

First, the complexity of the task or the higher workload in the middle of a phenomenon that has not been supported welfare significantly, although the majority of teachers have earned allowance as a form of certification. The main duties and functions of the primary teacher is to plan and carry out learning, and evaluation and analysis of student learning outcomes. The complexity of today is characterized by the development of the profession in the form of an obligation to make paper, as a follow up of an increase in the ability to think and research activities. Physical Evidence of the activity of scientific writing is realized with the writing of articles, opinions, modules, and proposals and reports Classroom Action Research (CAR). The overall task can be used as an indication of the competence of teachers as mandated by the Act No. 14 Year 2005 on Teachers and Lecturers, namely: professional competence, pedagogical competence, personality, and social competence. The four competencies necessary to be in daily tasks through the accumulation of knowledge and skills relevant to the needs of students. According Mahmudin (2008) Teacher Competency is a set of knowledge, skills, and behaviors that must be owned, lived, ruled, and actualized by Teacher professionalism in carrying out the task
